Welcome to the Dragon's Nest
The Dragon's Nest Bed and Breakfast is an enchanting home built in 1912, with a 3rd floor added in 2006. It is located at 2200 Angus Street in the heart of downtown Regina in the Cathedral area. An affordable option to Air Bnb's, but without their fees. Where full hot breakfasts are served each morning.
We have daily, weekly, monthly and other long term stay that can be negotiated.
Where did the name come from? Chinese dragons were beloved mythical creatures in ancient folklore. They represent abundance, opportunities and good luck.
It is said that if you reside, snuggled up against the belly of the dragon your protection
Dragons are also symbols of human beings. Reptile like, we slink close to the ground and are mired in the mud of our animal nature and the muck of our cultural prejudices. Yet, like birds, we are also full of spirit, full of love, soaring in the heavens, transcending, at least for moments, our narrow-mindedness and fearful nature. All myths are about human nature, dragons are relatively simple. Our nature is so multifaceted and paradoxical.
Part of our test as humans is to decide whether we want to exercise the ego part or
the spiritual aspect of our nature. The owners-operators are Feng Shui consultants who
have put their knowledge into practice in their wonderfully designed and decorated home.
With the principles of Feng Shui the furnishings and decorations seem "just right." From the water fountain that greets you at the front door, to the working fireplace that warms your inner spirit, to the plants, chimes and ornaments that provide the perfect balance and harmony in the home.
